IFTEX 2026: Celebrating Spray Roses and Kenyan Excellence
Every year, the global flower industry gathers in Nairobi for IFTEX, the International Flower Trade Exhibition, East Africa’s leading floriculture event. In 2026, the exhibition opened its doors for the thirteenth time.
This year’s exhibition was undoubtedly the busiest yet, with a record number of visitors attending on the second day alone. The halls were buzzing with growers, breeders, wholesalers, florists, and designers from around the world, all eager to discover the latest varieties and innovations shaping the future of floriculture.
For us at the World of Spray Roses, IFTEX is always a highlight of the year. It is an opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet new faces, and celebrate the growers who continue to champion spray roses around the world.
Of course, we were delighted when the stand we shared with Interplant was awarded the Best Stand Design Award. This year we took a fresh approach to the design, so it was wonderful to see those efforts recognised. However, our greatest source of pride came from seeing the World of Spray Roses logo displayed across the exhibition halls on the stands of our partner farms. Every time we rounded a corner and spotted that familiar logo, it gave us a little moment of pride.
It was also incredibly rewarding to see copies of the World of Spray Roses magazine throughout the exhibition. From farm stands to meeting tables, spotting the magazine in the hands of visitors and industry professionals was a wonderful reminder of how our community continues to grow. Seeing growers, florists, wholesalers, and breeders engaging with the stories behind spray roses made us enormously proud and reinforced the importance of sharing knowledge, inspiration, and innovation across the industry.
Thirteen of our member farms exhibited at IFTEX 2026, each bringing something unique to the show.
Creativity, Innovation and Beautiful Blooms
Black Tulip Group and Fontana Group joined together, with their display held within an elegant wooden structure. Visitors discovered dozens of roses displayed in glass vessels, all centred around “Rosie”, a floral figure dressed entirely in blooms.
At Flora Ola, stunning spray roses and beautiful blooms filled the stand, showcasing the quality and diversity of their production.
Groove Flower Exchange took a refreshingly simple approach. With a handful of carefully selected vases and their familiar branding, the stand allowed visitors to focus entirely on what they do best: growing exceptional spray roses.
At Isinya Roses, we enjoyed learning more about their exciting new farm, Olchoro, located near the Maasai Mara. Their stand embraced current floral trends with two huge, beautifully presented flower bouquets.
Karen Roses impressed as always, with a striking display where the spray roses seemed determined to steal the show.
Mzurrie Group introduced visitors to a brand-new spray rose variety, Dima Bombastic, while their spectacular floral arch, created using 1,500 roses, became the perfect photo op.
Red Lands Roses showcased an impressive collection of around seventy varieties, in a stand designed to look like a French boutique. Bella Linda was among the varieties attracting plenty of attention from visitors.
Sian Flowers presented twenty-three spray rose varieties, including the beautiful new Bella Elizabeth, alongside other standout varieties such as Paulette.
Subati Flowers highlighted the strength of their spray rose programme with thirty-five spray rose varieties on display, including the striking Green Limousine.
Roseto and Sierra Flowers created an interesting display, combining striking black and gold design elements with the softness and beauty of their roses. The contrast worked beautifully, creating a stand that felt both luxurious and inviting.
Tambuzi Garden Roses took a completely different approach, transporting visitors into a Palace of Roses. Rich colours, grand styling, and a spectacular bed of spray roses created a stand that felt as though it belonged in a royal ballroom.
Vegpro Kenya showcased their rose brand, Just Roses, with an impressive display, highlighting the quality and innovation that continue to make Kenyan flowers so highly regarded around the world.
More Spray Roses Than Ever Before
Perhaps the most exciting observation from this year’s show was the growing presence of spray roses throughout the exhibition. It seemed that no matter which hall or stand we visited, spray roses were taking centre stage. From new variety launches and large-scale installations to bouquet concepts and breeding innovations, spray roses were impossible to ignore.
For us, that is incredibly exciting. It reflects not only the hard work of our member farms and breeding partners but also the increasing demand from florists and consumers who are embracing the versatility, value, and beauty that spray roses bring to floral design.
As always, one of the greatest pleasures of IFTEX was spending time with the people behind the flowers. Catching up with our partner farms, discussing new developments, and sharing ideas remind us that our industry is built on relationships as much as it is on flowers.
And if IFTEX 2026 proved anything, it is that the future of spray roses has never looked brighter. To all thirteen of our exhibiting member farms, congratulations. Thank you for continuing to champion spray roses and for helping showcase the very best of Kenyan floriculture to the world.
