As the golden light of late summer settles over The Hague, a truly spectacular celebration begins to unfold. From 28 to 31 August 2025, the World Forum will host the Florint World Championship in Floral Art—better known as the World Cup of Floral Art—where the world’s greatest floral designers gather to compete, collaborate, and captivate.

And yes, we expect a flurry of sprayroses, romantic, textural, and full of emotions, as these beloved blooms take their place in the most imaginative floral creations on the planet.

A Bloom Beyond Borders

This year, the legendary Europa Cup blooms into something even bigger: a global championship. Twenty-four national champions, each at the top of their field, will represent their countries and floral cultures in a series of six breathtaking design tasks.

From Joseph Massie (UK) to Gábor Nagy (Hungary), Frédéric Dupré (France), Olena Driuchan (Ukraine), and many more, the lineup reads like a who’s who of floral brilliance.

And few know them better than Regine Motmans, Floral Connecter at Thursd:

“Out of the 24 incredible designers competing in the upcoming Floral World Cup, I’m proud to say I know many of them personally — some as close friends, others as inspiring business connections. At Thursd.com we’ve highlighted all competitors, so if you want to know more about them, we’re your go-to! Knowing the talent, passion, and vision they each bring, I can confidently say this World Cup will be a breathtaking celebration of creativity at the highest level.”

Her words reflect something essential about this event: it’s not just a competition. It’s a gathering of artistry and heart, where long-time relationships, mutual respect, and creative energy converge. As Regine adds:

“This is floral artistry at its best, and the world is about to witness something unforgettable.”

The Show Unfolds

Across four extraordinary days, competitors will tackle six themed challenges that test skill, vision, and emotion. On Saturday 30 August, the top ten finalists return for a final live task in a theatrical, high-stakes finale—followed by a jaw-dropping floral show titled “GROWTH!” by the iconic Hanneke Frankema.

More Than a Competition

Workshops, live demos, and the vibrant Fan Zone invite florists, flower lovers, and curious minds to immerse themselves in the world of floral art. You’ll find renowned educators like Lizzie Newcombe, Ahti Lyra, Geertje Stienstra, and others sharing their craft and floral philosophies.

And in between? A buzzing hub of ateliers, supplier showcases, designer meetups, and a palpable energy you can’t help but be swept up in.

Why The Hague?

Known as the International City of Peace and Justice, The Hague offers both sophistication and seaside charm. The World Forum, its largest auditorium, provides a fittingly elegant stage for this extraordinary event.

Join the Celebration

So, will you be there when the finest floral artists in the world take the stage? With passion in their hearts, scissors in hand, and dreams woven into petals, they’ll create magic that lasts far beyond the final applause.

From whispering sprayroses to avant-garde masterpieces, the World Cup of Floral Art 2025 is where flowers tell stories and this year, the story will be unforgettable.
