To say Alina Neacsa lives and breathes flowers would be an understatement. Known fondly in the floral world as a “flower whisperer” and “occasional plant therapist,” she is the visionary force behind Flori cu Fitze Academy—a floral empire that began with a playful name and has since blossomed into one of Europe’s most respected creative hubs for florists.

Elegant, witty, and unapologetically passionate, Alina is as revered for her signature romantic-dramatic style as she is for her dedication to elevating the art of floristry. Her client list is as diverse as it is prestigious, ranging from Pinterest-inspired brides to none other than the Romanian Royal Family—a testament to the universal language of flowers when arranged with heart, precision, and soul.

“I believe flowers should have personality—just like people,” Alina says. “I treat every bouquet like it’s going to the Oscars.”

From the delicate curve of a rose petal to the grandeur of royal galas, Alina pours intention into every stem. And when she’s not designing show-stopping arrangements, she’s globetrotting in search of the world’s most exquisite blooms, or teaching masterclasses to florists hungry to define their own creative voice.

But how did it all begin? With over two decades of experience, Alina remains modest about her journey.

“Well… around 20 years,” she says with a smile. “But I try not to mention that too often—it makes me sound old!”

A Rose by Any Other Name… Wouldn’t Be Alina’s

While many florists might dream of having a flower named after them, Alina can proudly say she has not one, but three. “That’s probably my biggest accomplishment so far,” she shares. “To have three flowers carry your name is both surreal and incredibly humbling.”

Among those, her favourite sprayrose is Alina Perfumella, grown by Tambuzi Farm. “It’s super, AND mega strong for a garden variety, has a beautiful colour, fairy-tale scent, and an impressive vase life,” she enthuses. It’s no wonder this bloom has captured her heart—and found its way into many of her most memorable creations.

The Rise of Sprayroses

We asked, are sprayroses enjoying their moment in the spotlight? According to Alina, absolutely.

“There’s no doubt—florists are using them more and more,” she says. “They look more delicate, the vase life is better in some varieties, and when it comes to value, they’re absolutely worth it.”

Alina attributes their popularity not just to aesthetics, but also to practicality. And when it comes to longevity, she has her own go-to formula for keeping sprayroses looking fresh and fabulous:

“Keep your vases hospital-level clean, fill them with fresh water, and always cut your flowers with a clean knife—never scissors!”

Designs Worth Remembering

When asked about her favourite design using sprayroses, Alina’s mind floods with memories—grand installations, royal events, and intimate ceremonies. Each arrangement a story, each rose a character. While it’s hard for her to pick just one, it’s clear that sprayroses often play a starring role in her floral narratives.
