Celebrating Tomas De Bruyne’s Book Launch In London
Our freelancer has been off on adventures once again, and this time it led us somewhere truly unforgettable, the book launch of The Art of Design by Tomas De Bruyne, celebrated in spectacular style at the RSVPGala Dinner and Table Design Exhibition London last month.
From the very first moment, it felt like stepping into something magical. The book itself, The Art of Design, is a true reflection of Tomas’ world, beautifully crafted, rich in detail, and filled with layers of inspiration. Every page feels considered, a celebration of artistry, storytelling, and the emotional power of flowers.
The launch echoed that same spirit, elevated even further through a striking and imaginative AI-led visual experience that brought Tomas’ vision to life in a bold and unexpected way. It added a sense of theatre and modernity to the evening, making the celebration feel both timeless and forward-thinking.
An Evening Woven with Beauty and Friendship
This was never just a book launch; it was a gathering of hearts, minds, and kindred spirits. The room shimmered with creativity, filled with so many familiar faces from across the floral world. Dear friends, longtime collaborators, and inspiring talents all came together, making the evening feel as much like a reunion as it was a celebration.
There is something incredibly special about seeing so many of our industry friends in one place, sharing stories, laughter, and a mutual love for flowers. It reminded us, once again, just how connected and enthusiastic this community truly is.
A Collaboration of Visionaries
The event itself was a masterpiece, thoughtfully partnered with RSVP and The Table Design, and brought to life by Tomas De Bruyne and his incredibly talented team, alongside his dear friend Nadia Duran, who is also a cherished friend of the World of Spray Roses. One of our favourite roses is even named after her, the Nadia Duran Spray Rose, grown by Voorn Spray Roses.
Together, they created an atmosphere that felt both refined and deeply personal. Every detail considered, every moment intentional, a true reflection of Tomas’ artistic vision and the beauty of collaboration. The entire evening was seamlessly brought together by RSVP and The Table Design Exhibition London, whose attention to detail and creative direction ensured that every element flowed effortlessly from one experience to the next.
Where Flowers Tell the Story
And of course, our eyes were drawn, again and again, to the floral arrangements. We were beyond delighted to see spray roses woven throughout the designs, quietly yet confidently taking their place among the evening’s artistry. In total, over 20,000 rose stems were used across the project, a breathtaking mix of both single roses and spray roses, creating layers of richness and depth throughout the space. Even more special was knowing that many of these blooms came from two of our World of Spray Roses member farms, Alexandra Farms and Tambuzi Garden Roses.
From soft, airy touches to more abundant, expressive arrangements, Spray roses moved effortlessly through each design. They brought texture, rhythm, and that unmistakable clustered elegance, adding a sense of romance and natural beauty that felt entirely at home in such an inspired setting.
Seeing them shine in an environment like this felt utterly fabulous!
Design That Speaks from the Heart
Tomas has always had a gift for storytelling through flowers, and this evening was no exception. Spray roses played their part with quiet grace, sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, but always enhancing the overall composition with softness and depth.
For florists and flower lovers alike, it was a gentle reminder of how these blooms can transform a design, adding layers, movement, and emotion without ever overpowering the story.

To see spray roses from our member farms featured so beautifully on such a stage is a celebration of everyone behind them, the breeders, the growers, and the designers who bring them to life. It reflects passion, dedication, and the shared pursuit of beauty.
And as with any truly memorable evening, it was not just the flowers that left an impression. The food, curated by the exceptional team at The Chancery Rosewood, was as thoughtfully composed as the designs themselves, an experience in its own right.
The room itself felt alive with elegance. Guests looked incredible, dressed for the occasion in a way that reflected the creativity and spirit of the evening, adding yet another layer of beauty to an already inspiring setting.
